I feel like the real question is why wouldn’t she have the right to do that? Her work is being stolen.
Popularity is completely irrelevant here and it doesn’t matter what type of art she makes. If it’s work that she made and someone else is stealing from it, then they are in the wrong and she’s being way too kind by asking them in the first place (tbh I’m not sure if a lowlife that stole from her in the first place would respond to polite requests anyway).
It would be best if she and other people report the thieves that are doing this and hopefully the situation is taken care of quickly. The LAST thing anyone should be worrying about here is whether or not she has the right to ask.
